Ryan FR-1 carrier quals

Short lived, but an interesting concept at the end of WWII the Ryan FR-1 Fireball, it had a radial engine along with a GE J-31 turbojet. In this photo they are undergoing carrier qualifications aboard USS Ranger CV-4 in May of 1945. #fr1fireball #ussranger #cv4 #boneyardsafari #aviationsafari
