This German FW 190 crash landed on a 9th AF base of the 404th Fighter Group on the Continent during a raid on New Year's Day 1945. Mechanics of the field fixed up the plane and painted it bright red and decorated it with American markings. #fw190 #wwii #boneyardsafari #aviationsafari
