Aircraft Carrier Evolution

Here is a great comparison of the evolution of the Kitty Hawk class carrier islands to the Nimitz class. In the background is USS America CV-66 which had her PriFly moved forward to above the bridge, then Big John (USS John F Kennedy CV-67) had an angled smoke stack.
