USS Saratoga CV-3 (1942)

On August 31st 1942 USS Saratoga CV-3 was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine. Here she is in September under repair at Tongatabu, Tonga Islands. Note the list seen in this photo is possibly deliberate, to bring the damaged part of Saratoga's hull out of water.
